I'm just a little excited for Jurassic World: Evolution 3

I lied, I am Extremely Excited

   I am a huge fucking nerd. This ENTIRE post will be about the upcoming game Jurassic World: Evolution 3. Which is the sequel to my favorite game Jurassic World: Evolution 2. This post will consist of what we know, my wish list for the game, the reasons I loved the previous two games and why this one will be so much better than both combined. I love the entire Jurassic series as a whole. This post was almost about Jurassic World: Rebirth, the upcoming movie, but I'm honestly more excited for Evolution 3. This is for the nerds, not you losers who don't like dinosaurs. So I kindly invite you to leave. If you're still here, you're a nerd. Just like me. Previous Games

    Jurassic World: Evolution 1 came out in 2018. This game was revolutionary for my brain. I could finally interact with the movie series I loved so much-- Make my own dinosaurs, make my own parks. But this game had issues. Things that didn't necessarily need fixing, but things that should have been in the game. The customization options, for the dinosaurs and parks, were kind of lackluster. You couldn't make your park look good because of the lack of decoration. The dinosaurs' patterns and colors were beautiful, but not customizable. Those were the colors you got and there were only like five you could use for each dinosaur. It was fun at first, but after a while the colors got boring. "Oh wow I can make my Indoraptor purple. Anything else? No, no that's it. Cool." And I was fine with it at the time until Jurassic World: Evolution 2 came out. And then I was like "These could have been options this whole time?" Don't get me wrong, I still love Evolution 1, especially for its story mode. And it was still a beautiful game, but Evolution 2 is just so much better.

    Jurassic World: Evolution 2 came out in 2021, three years after the first one came out. And I was blown away by the customization options. The color and pattern system for the dinosaurs was beautiful. You could mix and match, you could make the dinosaurs with the colors you wanted because the customization options were so good. The decorations were beyond amazing. You could truly make your park yours, which is something you couldn't do in the past game with just some trees. There were statues, walls, fountains, planters. You could place fucking trash cans if you wanted to. Fucking trash cans. Trash cans were not in the game at the start. The fandom literally bullied Frontier into adding trash cans because that's what the fucking nerds wanted. And I love Frontier so much because it listens to its fans. It didn't even patch some glitches that the fans liked, like the glitch where you could put normal dinosaurs into aviaries. And that's why Evolution 3 will be so good-- Because Frontier added so much that the fans have always wanted.

What we know about Evolution 3 and why Frontier is amazing

    Jurassic World: Evolution 3 is going to release on October 21st, 2025. I waited months, waiting through hours of live game announcement events just for Evolution 3 to not even be announced. Until Summer Games Fest, 2025. Where it was finally announced. The best game of all time was finally announced and it was leaked a few hours before. I saw the leaked trailer... at school. After the worst field day of all time (A story for another post). We went back to school after baking in the sun and I opened YouTube and I saw it immediately. Imagine the time you were most excited. You got it? Triple it. And that's still not even close to how excited I was. I was just an excited little girl on Christmas. And I had just gotten a gun. I'm not sure if this metaphor works, in fact I know it doesn't, but it's funny so I'm going to leave it in. And you can cry about it.

    Remember how I was supposed to be talking about what we know about this game? Yeah, I totally forgot about that. That's what you get for reading an ADHD woman's blog. Honestly I'm not sure what you expected. This is on you. Anyway here's a beautiful, neat bullet point list of what we know.

• BABY DINOSAURS. FUCKING BABY DINOSAURS HOLY SHIT. After years of asking, Frontier finally did it. And they're absolutely adorable. The most adorable shit I've ever seen in a video game. Well, maybe not, Trico from The Last Guardian may still take the cake of cutest thing in a video game. Honestly can you blame me?

• Male and Female species differences. In the trailer we see that you can select a dinosaur's sex and there are actual visual differences. In the example we saw, the male's triceratops's crest is larger than the female's. And the males are just in general bulkier.  The attention to detail made me audibly squeal, and this isn't the only feature that did that. (Nothing made me squeal more than the baby dinosaurs, though.)

• And now we have breeding. Yes, breeding. No, they're not gonna show it you fucking creep. The whole thing is that now that we have male animals we can have generations of dinosaurs that pass down their genetics. I have been asking for a genetics system for years. And now we finally have it. I'm not sure if it's going to be a recessive/dominant system like I had wished, but a girl can hope.
• One of my favorite things about Evolution 2 was the social animations. And now they're adding more for Evolution 3. For adult/adult, adult/baby, and baby/baby animations. And there will be multiple for each. Because frontier is amazing.
  
  
  

• There are so fucking many decoration and customization options. I actually can't believe it. The amount of decorations they've added is crazy. More dinosaur statues, planters, customizable text markers, walls, fountains fucking everything you can think of. And you can resize your statues, you can combine multiple decorations (I think). It's, again, insane.
• The terrain tools are amazing, one of my main complaints about Evolution 2 was about the lack of terrain tools and now we have so many. Terrain path creators with inclines, mountain creators, slope editors, cliff tools, waterfall tools I never thought I would see things like this. 
• More attractions, like the petting zoo are going to be amazing.
• I think the story in this game is going to be the best. We now work for The Dinosaur Integration Network (DIN). We have breeding programs with our fancy new male dinosaurs. And we aren't supposed to see them as assets (I never did, but I know some of you idiots did), we're supposed to see them as actual animals. That are worth protecting. And the breeding system is a big part of that. But there are people who don't like what DIN is doing. Breeding dinosaurs, as expected, is frowned upon.
• Cabot Finch is back, I hate this man with a passion. I don't know why people praise him so much. He, once again, is our idiotic boss. We will never escape him. I blame the fans, not Frontier. Some of you are idiots.

My Wishlist

• Once again, I want the genetic system to be dominant/recessive. But I do think it will just be chance what gene the babies get from each parent. Which I wish it were as predictable as a dominant/recessive system, but alas. Yeah, it's still random, but less random. And it would be more fun.
• Dinosaurs I want so very bad
• Utahraptor (One of my theriotypes, we will go into this in a later post)
• Yutyrannus (my favorite dinosaur of all time)
• Ubirajara (my favorite compsignathid, super pretty)
• All Jurassic World: Chaos Theory dinosaurs. Like the becklespinax.
• All Jurassic World: Rebirth dinosaurs. They're all so beautiful.
• REALISTIC DINOSAUR VARIANTS, PLEASE
• Baby hybrids
• Please, for the love of all that is Blåhaj, please let me build on top of paths.
• A large DLC for all the DLC dinosaurs from Evolution 2 and with the base game dinosaurs from Evolution 2 that were removed.
• Being able to keep baby dinosaurs as babies in sandbox mode

Finally, I'm done rambling

    All in all, no matter what I am going to love this game. I will make the baby dinosaurs, I will make beautiful parks and enclosures. I will enjoy every part of this beautiful game. I am so thankful to Frontier for giving me and all of the other nerds a game based on the series we all love so much. 

    Remember when I promised you weirdos that I would insult you more? Yeah, well I completely forgot to do that. Honestly I don't even know where I would put those insults. But I'm just going to pretend that this was all a trick to get you to read the entire thing. Honestly I think I'm a genius.
